The Regional Policy Advisory Committee (RPAC) serves in an advisory capacity to the SPC Executive Committee, discussing policy options and providing briefing reports which may become action items for consideration and implementation by the Commission. The purpose of the RPAC is to engage in a more detailed discussion and review of information than would be possible within the context of the business meetings of the Commission. It explores major policy implications and recommendations, aided by members' expertise, judgment, and sharing of available information and research in addition to staff support from SPC.
