ATWIC FY 2010 PROGRAM OF PROJECTS
On May 20, 2009, The ATWIC Oversight Committee approved the 2010 Fiscal Year Job
Access/ Reverse Commute (JARC) and New Freedom (NF) projects. The budget is comprised of $7,086,930 in JARC expenditures and $1,342,695 in New Freedom expenditures. A total of $4,630,764 will be funded through JARC and New Freedom grants; the balance will come from a locally obtained sources.
There are fifteen projects that are operated by eleven agencies. The Job Access/Reverse Commute projects are designed to provide access to employment and other related activities; the New Freedom projects are designed to improve the mobility of individuals with disabilities. The projects will serve the Pittsburgh urbanized area. Specifically, agencies will be funded in Allegheny, Beaver, Washington, and Westmoreland counties. This program is funded by Federal Transit Administration JARC and New Freedom grants, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, as well as, various local matching sources.
