Public Participation Panels:
TIP Workshops & Public Comment Period

The Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission (SPC) seeks public comment on planning and project priorities for federal and state funding. Your input will help develop the 2007-2010 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and Project Region, the next update of the Southwestern Pennsylvania regional plan.

How to Get Involved

SPC’s Public Participation Panels are hosting workshops where you can learn more about regional planning in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Representatives from SPC and the public agencies that are our partners in planning will be on hand to answer questions and assist you in submitting your comments and ideas about transportation and development needs in our region.

Public Participation Panel Meetings

View the meeting schedule here. Plan to attend a meeting in your area to take advantage of this interesting, informative opportunity.

Meeting locations are accessible to persons with disabilities. With advance notification, accommodations may be provided for those with special needs related to language, sight, or hearing. Contact SPC at 412-391-5590, extension 315, to request such assistance.

How to Give Your Input

SPC will accept your comments in several ways. At a meeting, you can submit written testimony or be individually interviewed by an SPC staff person who will make a record of your verbal comments. You can submit testimony to SPC online through this website, by mail, or by fax. Projects or issues must be recorded using a Project Abstract Form. All testimony received by August 18, 2005, will be submitted on your behalf to the State Transportation Commission.
