SPC is now soliciting applications for candidate transportation projects to be considered for funding under the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) Improvement Program in the 2009-2012 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). Completed project applications are due by Monday November 5, 2007.
The instruction package for project sponsors is available for download here (PDF, 56K). The instruction package provides information for project sponsors on completing candidate project applications, how projects will be prioritized, and the schedule for developing recommendations for the draft TIP.
General CMAQ Program Guidance has been issued by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) (PDF, 290K).
FHWA maintains a website here that includes more details about the CMAQ Program as well as links to additional Guidance Documents.
Prospective project sponsors are encouraged to review the FHWA CMAQ Guidance and the materials on the FHWA website before submitting project applications.
Click on the links below for the project application data forms. Each candidate project application will consist of a Candidate Project Description form, a project type form, Additional Information forms (as needed), and other supporting information.
