Transportation: Transportation Improvement Program
SPC is now soliciting applications for candidate transportation projects to be considered for funding under the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) Improvement Program in the 2013-2016 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). Completed project applications are due by Monday October 3, 2011.
The instruction package for project sponsors is available for download here (PDF, 249 KB). The instruction package provides information for project sponsors on completing candidate project applications, how projects will be prioritized, and the schedule for developing recommendations for the draft TIP.
FHWA maintains a website here that includes more details about the CMAQ Program as well as links to additional Guidance Documents.
Prospective project sponsors are encouraged to review the FHWA CMAQ Guidance, the materials on the FHWA website, and the complete instructions package before submitting project applications.

Each candidate project application will consist of an Application Checklist form, Project Abstract form, Candidate Project Description form, a Project Budget and Schedule form, a project category form, as many additional Information forms as needed, and other supporting information.
