Director, Transportation Planning

Domenic joined the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission in 2007. As the Director of the Transportation Planning department, he oversees all of our organization’s transportation programs that include operations and safety, transportation demand management (TDM), and other transit initiatives for the 10 county region. He oversees the region’s Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) which plans for transportation projects on a four year basis, and the Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) which plans for future transportation projects on a 25 year cycle. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh’s Swanson School of Engineering. Additionally, he maintains a Professional Engineer (PE) license through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and is certified by the Transportation Professional Board as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE).
