Mason joined the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission in 2023. As the Water Resources Specialist, Mason is responsible for providing technical assistance to local governments on environmental matters, like water quality, stormwater, wastewater and emissions. He also serves as a liaison between local governments and federal funding to try and connect them to environmental funding sources. Mason is certified in Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response, Wetland Delineation Training, SafeLand Training, Confined Space Entry, Permit and Non-Permit, Environmentally Sensitive Maintenance for Dirt, Gravel, and Low-Volume Roads, and as a Stormwater Inspector. He has his Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from Washington & Jefferson College.
