Transit Planner II

Russell joined the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission in 2022. As a Transit Planner II, he is responsible for providing transit planning assistance to counties, municipalities, townships and external stakeholders in our 10 county region. As part of this role, Russell coordinates transit activities and programs among external agencies and partners within our region. Additionally, he helps to advise agencies on varied transit activities and programs across our region, and participates on steering committees and advisory boards. Russell has both a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and Master of Science degree in Transportation Systems Design from Carnegie Mellon University.
