Cort joined the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission in 2008. As the Manager of Data Acquisition, GIS and Travel Monitoring, Cort oversees a team of three staff members that among many initiatives conduct the traffic counts along our region’s roadways. Obtaining an accurate traffic count is critically important because funding, resources, and business development decisions are often times made based on how many vehicles travel on a specific road. Our Traffic Counting team primarily conducts counts for PennDOT. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Regional Planning from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
