Leann joined the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission in 2015. As a Senior Active Transportation Planner, she is responsible for providing technical assistance to local governments, community and trail groups, and non-profit organizations that are striving to advance modes of active transportation like biking and walking within our 10 county region. Leann works closely with government entities, advocacy groups, and external stakeholders to promote responsible cycling through education and outreach. Additionally, she supports local communities with applications when they apply for Bicycle Friendly and Walk Friendly designations. Leann has her AICP certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), and her LCI certification as a League Cycling Instructor. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Regional Planning and Geography, and a Master of Science degree in Geography/Geographic Information System from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
